BSFC (Youth) results Round Up week ending 13th Sept 09

Eastern Junior Alliance
The BSFC (Youth) sides competing in the Eastern Junior Alliance all had tough first matches of the season. U18 (Suffolk) drew 2-2 with Halstead with goals from Nick Azzopari and Robbie Woodhouse, U18 (Herts) lost 2-0 to Hitchin, U16 lost 4-3 at Takeley despite goals from Alan Byrne (2) and Rhys Watkins and U14 lost 4-0 against Stotfold
Cambridge Girls League
Reigning league champions BSFC (Youth) U15s got off to a winning 2-0 start against Alconbury thanks to first half goals from Elle Georgiou and new captain Beth Gostelow. Stortford gave debuts to a number of new players including player of the match Katie Sanders-Smith who played her first game in goal for the team and kept a clean sheet. U16s lost 3-1 against Cambridge City (Alex Brewer scoring), U14 drew 0-0 with Buckden Juniors. BSFC (Youth) U12 Girls beat Priory Parkside 3-0 (Eryn Madsen with 2 and Inka Pearson with the other). U13 Girls beat Alconbury 5-0 with goals from Emily Harvey (2), Megan Evans (2) and Ellen Fitzgibbon.
Royston Crow League
In the Royston Crow League BSFC Youth sides had, typically, mixed fortunes. U17 Town lost an exiting match against Symonds Green 5-4 – goals from Reece Evans, Archie Webb, Phillip McGrath and Connor Bennett, U17 Northolt won 5-0 against Arlesey – James Dann leading the line and scoring 3, Pat Marshall and Andrew Barrett the others. U16 Town won 4-3 against Baldock Kniths with goals from Allesio Follesa (2), James Hutton and Harrison Hall.
U15 Athletic lost 2-1 at Baldock (Liam Dotson scoring), U15 Park won 2-1 against LGCE Reds (James Harvey and Michael Collins), U15 Rovers drew 3-3 against Arlesey (Conner Copeland with 2 and Mark Harvey the other.
U14 Rovers lost 7-1 at Stevenage Barcam U14 Blues won 3-2 (Jordan Sanderson 2 and Matt Wheeler with the goals). U14 Athletic won 6-3 against Baldock Kights with 2 goals each from Michael Awomolo and Jake Padgett and one each from Luca Follesa and Alex Hall.
U13 Town thrashed Royston Celtic 9-0. Jamie Powter scored 4, Ian McAllister 3 and Alex Warman and Josh Jewson chipped in with one each.
Two Harry Bovington goals couldn’t prevent U12 Town losing 3-2 at LGCE Blues. Also in Division 1 U12 Rangers lost 2-0 at Royston Celtic. In Division 2 U12 Colts lost 6-1 at Stotfold – Aaron Seiderer with the consolation. Will Sandy, Jack Kelly, George Wagstaff and a Jack Lamb with a penalty scored for U12 Rovers –but they still lost 7-4 against Elsenham.
Jo Jo Senior scored twice – and Matt Foster the other as U11 Town won 3-1 against Bedwell. U11 Athletic lost 2-0 agaisnt Hitchin and U11 Blues 7-0 against FC Comets in Division 2. U11 Colts lost 6-1 (Tristan Turner) against Potton and U11 Rangers 6-4 (Liam Holly 2 and 2 own goals) against LGCE Blues.
Ben Warman scored for U10 Athletic against Whitehorn in a 1-0 win, U10 Town lost 2-0 against Whitehorn “A” sides. Luke Ingram (2), Alex Best and Chris Milns scored for U10 Rangers against Symonds Green “A” and Greg Barton for U10 Rovers against Symonds Green “B.
