Herts County Cup
BSFC (Youth) U15 Park beat Symonds Green 3-2 in the first round of the County Cup with goals from James Harvey (pen), Michael Collins and Luke Port. BS U13 Town lost 3-0 against a strong Broadhall. BS U12 Rangers progressed to the second round of the County Cup by default as their opponents from Watford withdrew.
Eastern Junior Alliance
The BSFC (Youth) sides competing in the Eastern Junior Alliance had mixed results. BS U18 (Suffolk) drew 3-3 with Wivenhoe with goals from Charlie Gregory, Mark Robinson and Charlie Gardner. BS U18 (Herts) lost 3-0 to Borehamwood, BS U16 EJA beat Hitchin 6-0 (with a Jamie Wills hat-trick, two from Joe Brough (2) and one from Alan Byrne) and BS U14 EJA drew 2-2 with Hitchin having been 2-0 down with goals from Ricky Mitchell and Jack Clarke.
Cambridge Girls League
BSFC (Youth) U15 Girls travelled to Wisbech protecting a 3 season unbeaten run. Wisbech one of six new teams to join the Cambridgeshire league this season were protecting their own 5 season unbeaten run. The game saw plenty of action played at a frenetic pace but no goals sending both teams equal top of the league. Player of the match was awarded to Ellie Curran who typified the resilience and team spirit showed by this new look team. BSFC (Youth) U13 Girls picked up their second win of the season with a 2-0 away win against Witchford Colts. In a hard fought game Abs Davis scored a dazzling solo effort to take the lead and Pia Del Basso finished off the victory with her debut league goal for the team.
Royston Crow League
In the Royston Crow League BS U18 Town drew 1-1 against Letchworth – Lewis Edwards with the goal. BSU17 Northolt drew 2-2 with Manuden – James Dann and Kevin Dotson with the goals. BS U16 Town lost 1-0 against Elsenham and a Joe Sibbald goal was consolation for BSU16 Rangers in a 5-1 defeat against Letchworth Whites.
BSU14 Rovers lost 3-2 against Baldock. Greg Harrison scored the winner for BSU14 Blues against Fairlands Youth. BSU14 Athletic won 6-2 against Albion Youth with 2 goals each from Luca Follesa and one each from Michael Awomolo, James Ambrose, Zachary Elson and Lewis Griffiths.
BS U12 Town lost 3-0 against Royston Celtic. BS U12 Athletic lost 5-0 against Hormead. BS U12 Colts lost 6-3 at St Neots (Callum Lynskey, James Grout & Tom Best scoring).
BS U11 Town beat neighbours BS Swifts 3-0 with 2 goals from Matt Foster and one from Alex Brewer. Robert Ball scored twice and Aaron Fitzsimmons for BS U11 Athletic in a 3-1 win over Hormead Hares and BS U11 Blues lost 3-0 against Hitchin in Division 2. BS U11 Colts beat Barmond 2-0 with goals from Connor O-Reilly and Shane Meecham and BS U11 Rangers beat Stevenage Kites 9-2 with goals against Ted Dean (2), Liam Holly (2). Eliot Fryer, Jake Brett, Will Oliver, Mikey Shearing and Tom Benson.
BS U10 Town lost 5-3 against Royston “A” side – goals scored by Will Hodge, Nick Randall and Coby Miles. Ben Warman, James Healy and Ryan Forth scored for BS U10 Athletic against Royston ”B” in a 3-2 win. BS U10 Rangers drew 1-1 against St Neots “A” (Sam Gardner) and BS U10 Rovers drew 0-0 against St Neots “B”.
