Herts County Cup
BSU18 Swifts moved into the 3rd Round of the Herts County Under 18 Cup with a 2-1 win at Sun Postal Youth. Joining them will be BSU17 Rangers who beat Hoddesdon 6-2 with goals from Tim Shaw (2), George Sydes (2), Paul Parker and Jon Nevin.
In the Under 16 Competition BSU16 Town beat Woodhall Wanderers 3-1 (Chris Hill 2 and Adam Cruz) but BSU16 Colts found the holders Borehamwood 2000 too strong and lost 3-0.
At Under 14 James Dann scored 3 and Charlie Gardner and David Czerkas one each for BSU14 Rangers who beat Wodson Park 5-1. BSU14 Town beat Royston Celtic 5-0 but BSU14 Northolt are out after losing 4-3 at Berkhamstead (Stephen Thurley 2, Jamie Stevens scored).
In the Under 12 County Cup BSU12 Town progressed at the expense of Berkhamstead – winning 8-1 with goals from Jacob Ryan (3), Joe Humphries (2), Sam Sheffield (2) and Alfie Prosser but BSU12 Park lost 6-3 at AC Finchley.

9-man BSU17 Athletic lost 5-0 at Saturn and BSU17 Park drew 3-3 with Broadhall Youth. BSU16 Pelham beat Biggleswade 6-3. Gokhan Durmus scored 4 for BSU15 Town in a 7-0 win over clubmates BSU15 Rangers. Tom Jakobs (2) and Charlie Bland completed the scoring.
BSU14 Athletic lost 8-1 at Potton, Matt Gill, Jake Leighton and George Birchenough scored for BSU13 Town in a 3-2 win over Shefford Saints. BSU13 Athletic beat Stevenage Borough Reds 4-3 and Jack Joseph scored all 3 for BSU13 Rangers in a 3-1 win over LGCE Whites.
Josh Hinds and Mitchell Ede scored for BSU12 Athletic in a 2-1 win over Bassingbourn, Joe Exley and Jake Holloway goals couldn’t prevent a 3-2 defeat for BSU12 Athletic Youth against Baldock Town, Joseph Groon (2) and Thomas Sinclair goals couldn’t prevent BSU12 Rovers slumping to an 8-3 defeat at the hands of Hormead Hares but a Sam James double helped BSU12 Rangers to a 2-0 win over Symonds Green.
Kieran Amos, Jordan Westcott, Jack Isherwood and Harry Synowski scored for the improving BSU11 Town in a 4-1 win over Royston Celtic. BSU11 Athletic remain undefeated in Division 2 winning 5-1 against Baldock Town – goals coming from Harry Mackaness (2), Jake Padgett, Alex Gardiner and Jamie Cassar. BSU11 Blues lost 1-0 to Stevenage Town Barca. In Division 3 BSU11 Rangers made it 6 wins out of 6 with a 2-0 win over Fairlands (Charlie Anthony and Connor Whitefield scoring). Daniel Mead, Matthew Wheeler and Jack Sillitoe scored for BSU11 United in a 5-1 win at Albion Youth.
At Under 10 BSU10 Town lost 7-0 to Royston Town A and BSU10 Rangers lost 1-0 to Royston Town “B”. BSU10 Rovers beat Wymondley Park 5-1 with goals from Jamie Powter, Jon Readshaw, Alex Warman, Matt Ellaby and Dan Williams and BSU10 Wanderers won 5-0 against Wymondley Park “B”.
BS U9 Wanderers drew 1-1 with Stevenage Patriots A, Charley Coote scoring the equaliser after the Wanderers had gone behind. BS U9 Knights beat Stevenage Patriots B 11-0. Goals came from Luke Dumelow (4), Harry Bovington (4), Ewan Rockall (2) and with Lawrence Healy scoring a fine individual goal to complete the rout. |
